LEYLAND Vehicles has won an order worth more than Om to supply vehicles to Tanzania.
The country's State Motor Corporation, responsible for purchasing all Tanzania's vehicles has ordered nearly 300 vehicles, mainly Clydesdale chassis and Reiver models.
The chassis will be delivered in knock-down form for assembly by Leyland's Tanzanian subsidiary, and will be fitted with locally-designed bus and lorry bodies.
The order should be completed by early 1980.
