Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

TECHNICAL Panel Industries — maker of Glasonit grp/ plywood body panels — has introduced the Kargonit insulated body.

According to TN, the great strength of the completed body and its high insulation efficiency depend on the u3e of a purpose-built assembly jig.

In common with TPI's existing range of Glasonit body panels, the moulded-tosize sides, roof, bulkhead and rear end of each Kargonit set are faced with a weatherproof grp laminate on both surfaces. Sandwiched between the laminates are slabs of preformed polyurethane insulation.

Kargonit's unique method of construction is claimed to overcome the structural and thermal shortcomings of bodies built from pre-formed sandwich panels. The patented method of joining adjacent panels is based on both resinbonding and mechanical attachment, which TPI claims will eliminate heat paths through the joints. The transfer co-efficient is put at 0.27 Kcal/sqm hr °C.

Three standard models are being offered — 197, 214 and 234 — with model number indicating the interior width in centimetres (77.5, 84.5 and 92in). Body lengths from 3.0 to 12.5m (9ft 10in to 41ft) are available in 100mm (4in) increments with only the 234 available in the maximum length.

As a guide to the weight, the Kargonit 234 at 12.2 (40ft) long, ready for mounting, weighs 2.78 tonnes (2 tons 15 cwt).
