The elimination of swirl marks is one advantage claimed by Tex Abrasives for their 05-6 orbital sander. The unit, which rotates randomly at high speeds, takes a standard 6in. diameter stick-ontype coated abrasive disc; a regulator controls rotation speeds up to 9000 rpm. The manufacturer says the Sander is quieter than comparable models. It weighs 41b.
