Far from taking the heat out of the road rail debate the NUR this week has put the cat back amongst the proverbial pigeons with a leaflet issued to South East England commuters.
Under a dramatic picture of a road accident the NUR pamphlet states more roads mean more noise; more dangerous fumes; heavy juggernauts passing your home; more cost; more waste; more traffic jams; further destruction of countryside and towns and more accidents.
Who do they think they are kidding?
