is launching a reflective marking kit for HGVs which is designed to enhance safety by increasing conspicuity under poor lighting conditions.
The reflective material used is said to be up to nine times brighter than other forms of reflective sheeting, including current maker plates. It can also be seen clearly at more acute angles than many existing products, says Allmark. During service trials the supplier claims that night-time accidents were reduced by more than 20%. The new kit includes noncorrosive and self-adhesive reflective conspicuity tape, an application tool and comprehensive instructions.
The striping, which is pre-cut to fit the vehicle, is manufactured from 3M's Scotchlight Diamond Grade reflective marking material.
There are three standard kits in the range to suit both rigid and curtain-sided 13.6m trailers, with a reflective kit for the rear doors of a trailer. Special kits are also available.
