Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• IMI Fluidair has introduced a new range of 11 Rotapak rotary air compressors. The smallest provides 0.56m' (20cuft) of air a minute, the largest 8.68m3 (310cuft).

Unlike previous Rotapak models, the rotary compressor is belt driven, and the entire apparatus is enclosed in a rectangular steel case. Lined with sound absorbant plastic foam and sound baffles, the new casing has reduced sound levels to between 62 and 74dB(A).

Fluidair is offering a free three-year warranty on the rotor-stator assembly irrespective of running time, provided the unit has been maintained by an authorized Fluidair service engineer. The singleslotted rotor carries six vanes and rotates on an eccentric axis within the stator at between 800 and 1,450rpm. It is driven by a three-phase motor and is lubricated with specially formulated Rotalife oil, which is changed annually or every 2,000 running hours.

As with earlier Fluidair models, the new range is fitted with the Rotasave energy saving control system. When the compressor is off-load motor power is cut by 89%, and cut completely after a predetermined time. When demand for air returns, the compressor instantly restores full output.

Air is filtered as it enters the machine and after compression and oil separation it passes through an aftercooler which returns it to 5 to 10°C warmer than the input air.
