• French garages are now obliged to display their charges for vehicle repairs, servicing and breakdown assistance, reports L'Officiel des Transporteurs.
The hourly rates and a scale of charges must be shown on a board at the entrance to the garage, in the customer reception area and in breakdown vehicles.
Where charges are calculated on a fixed hourly basis, the method of working out the total numbers of hours musi also be clarified.
