of toyota's Hi-Lux pickup truck at Volkswagen's Hanover plant. The companies plan to start production in early 1989, producing up to 8,000 units that year. By 1990 production could be up to 15,000 units annually. At the end of 1989, the local content of the vehicle will be around 50%. Both companies will distribute the Hi-Lux pick-up truck in Europe through their respective outlets and under their respective brand names.
