Coping with the new employment and safety laws by Jonathan Lawton Many managers feel swamped by the new labour relations, employment and safety laws and the Codes of Practice associated with them. In this session a practising solicitor who appears regularly before industrial tribunals will put the new legislation in perspective. Mr Lawton will set out some of the principal points and explain how to cope with the Codes. He will also answer questions on aspects of the new legislation troubling delegates.

Jonathan Lawton is a solicitor of Chorley, Lancashire, and director of a medium-sized haulage company. He specialises in industrial relations and road transport legislation, appearing for employers, employees, trade associations and government departments.
