Collmann tyre-mounting machines that are operated by one man and can demount truck and earthmover tyres within minutes are being marketed by Grantham Rubber Machinery Co Ltd.
Electra-hydraulically operated, the press is equipped with two hydraulic pump units for fast motion, high-pressure action and better control, and incorporates a built-in conveyor for loading the largest tyre into the press.
The pressure claws can be adjusted radially by a simple hand-lever to suit any rim diameter and the pressure applied to the rim can also be regulated by a conveniently positioned hand cOntrol.
Three standard sizes of press are available and machines to suit customers special requirements can be made to order.
