T HERE is a good display of tractors .I. and power implements at the Highland and Agricultural Society's annual show, which opened at Alloa on Tuesday and closes to-day. Among the entries of new implements for the Society's silver medal is a mobile drier for artificially drying grass, by Mobile Driers, Ltd., Newcastle-on-Tyne, and an Allis-Chalmers all-crop harvester, by Alexander Strang (Tractors), Ltd., Edinburgh.

Power appliances on all the implement stands are numerous indeed, and show how the tractor is advancing in Scotland.

Associated Manufacturers Co. (London), Ltd., displays the Case tractor range, including ordinary models and row-crop types, together with the latest Model C of the Case combine. harvester and the smaller one known as Model Q. Case tractors are also exhibited by Messrs. Barclay, Ross and Hutchinson, Aberdeen, and A. M. Russell, Edinburgh.

Messrs. Bamfords, of Uttoxeter, have a fine collection of tractor implements, especially interesting being the trailertractor mower and other power haymaking and harvesting appliances.

The Ford Motor Co., Ltd., has a good entry of Fordson tractors and Fordson lorries, for the conveyance of a wide variety of agricultural products, on two stands.

The International Harvester Co. of Great Britain, Ltd., also occupies two stands and displays a wide range of tractors and tractor implements. Among the exhibits are two models of the 10/20 tractor—one fitted with steel wheels and the other with Dunlop tyre equipment—the WD30, with 5-in. lugs and a power take-off shaft, the Farmall line, the Model F20 and the smallest Model 12, The crawler class is represented by the Model T20.

Massey-Harris, Ltd., stages . two models of the Pacemaker and the Challenger, together with many power implements.

Ransomes, Sims and jefferies, exhibits its new garden traetar.

Messrs. James H. Steele, Edinburgh, have a varied collection of tractors on their " Everything for the Farm" stand. Among these are the Ferguson, the Lanz semi-Diesel, Case Model CC4, the . four-wheel-drive MasseyHarris, and the Auto-Culto garden tractor.

John Wallace and Sons, Ltd., Glasgow, shows Oliver agricultural tractors. Model 18/28 and Model 70, which is the standard .tractor, together with Oliver ploughs and cultivating appliances, Among other interesting pow,er exhibits are farm vehicles with pneumatic tyre equipment and a tractortrailer, with removable sides and tipping body by J. D. Allan and Sons, MurthIy. The Rototiller and Rowtrae garden tractors are also on view.
