has been launched in Kent after residents in Westerham, on the A25, complained that hauliers were breaching a 7.5-tonne weight restriction.
However, the parish council said many of the lorries suspected of ignoring road signs are foreignregistered vehicles and unlikely to be contacted.
Linda Rodgers, chairwoman of Westerham Town Council highways committee, said lorries were using roads inappropriate for their use and ignoring weight restrictions: "We are collating information and passing it to Kent County Council. It will pass information on to the police."
