AUCTIONS generated more than £2.1m selling 425 vans during a single auction at Blackbushe last month.
The sale is the highest in 12 months, said BCA's general manager for CVs, Duncan Ward. "Blackbushe attracted the biggest footfall we have seen for an LCV sale in many months and bidding was exceptionally competitive throughout the day," he said.
"BCA Live Online bidders were also very active, and accounted for 21% of the vehicles sold, he added."
Several corporate vendors sold all their stock in the sale. "With good quality stock remaining at a premium, buyer demand is focused on the best presented and specified commercial vehicles and this is keeping values firm," said Ward.
He added that the past six months have seen the highest average monthly values on record for LCVs, with corporate and dealer partexchange values rising.
