history A big truck with a strong specification Welcome to Laurie Dealer's used truck of the week. Each week our man inside the used truck trade picks out a truck or trailer from CM's online classified list. This week it's an MAN TGX Words: Laurie Dealer THIS WEEK'S used truck of the week is a 2010-registered MAN TGX. The Euro-5 emission standard is reached via exhaust gas recirculation (EGR). The D20 engine produces 440hp and 2,100Nm, the highest ratings for the 10.5-litre driveline, and it comes with the 12-speed ZF Tipmatic automated transmission.
There is a full service history, and vendor Leeds Commercials has placed a 07,500 (plus VAT) price tag on the truck. This is a big truck with a small and efficient engine, which makes it a strong and universal specification.
The used truck market is starting to see a rise in the number of three-year-old trucks coming through, as a result of a policy adopted by the manufacturer and the rental sector. Values are starting to climb for quality Euro-5 trucks.
Any operator bringing older Euro-5 trucks onto the fleet can expect good use for three to four years before they look to upgrade.
