Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Annual test fees for Class VII light goods vehicles will rise to £30.68 on 1 August as part of an across-the-board increase in MoT fees. The fee for Class IV light vans and cars will rise from £27.38 to £28.66.

The increases take account of inflation but includes an additional increase to cover the cost of the gas analysers which testing stations have to buy for emissions tests.

Fees for a duplicate certificate also rose but continue to be half the price of a full certificate.
