This is the ;ategory for existing buildings ;onverted or fitted out to suit the occupier's requirements.
The award went to the NFC ieadquarters in the Merton :entre, Bedford, which is reducing overheads by more than £750,000 a year as well as increasing efficiency and improving working conditions. I believe the move from London has also enabled a higher calibre of employee to be recruited.
The honour of receiving the commendation from the Duke of Gloucester went to Kenneth Cook, the NFC's director of administration. He was even more proud because it was one of only three major awards made in this year's competition.
