TRICENTROL Chassis Developments Ltd of Dunstable has fitted Telma Electric Retarders to Avon Tyres' Melksham-based fleet of Bedford test vehicles.
The retarders give a safety factor of secondary braking, but were fitted primarily to reduce wear on the primary braking system and avoid unscheduled interruption to Avon's tyre test programme.
