The Armstrong Patents Co. now makes suspension and steering ball joints in large quantities and has released a catalogue covering these components. The catalogue, which covers 23 makes of vehicle for which Armstrong ball joints are available, illustrates the types and functions of ball joints, the methods used to detect worn units by both physical and visual examination, and gives the service engineer some useful pointers to check when examining a suspect vehicle.
Illustrations show the various types of tyre wear and explain their causes, thereby enabling the mechanic to provide evidence when talking to the customer about steering and suspension parts.
