May I have your advice as to what equipment of this type is available?
AUnits of this nature are manufactured by the Hawker Siddeley Group which markets them through the Hands (Letchworth) Ltd., organization at Icknield Way, Letchworth, Herts.
A recent entrant into the field with a similar device is Davall Gear Co. Ltd. of High Street, Potters Bar, Herts.
Both these devices are fully portable and arranged so that any one axle of a vehicle can be weighed. They have maximum capacities of 10 tons per pair which takes account of the heaviest permitted axle weights under the C and U Regulations.
