• Strong opposition to the MoT's proposals to ban lorries exceeding 3 tons unladen, and those drawing trailers, from the two off-side lanes of future four-lane motorways has been voiced by the FTA which says that the proposed restriction would not only hinder the free flow of lorry traffic but would also aggravate the problem of bunching.
