FOLLOWING the introduction by the North British Rubber Co., Ltd., of the U.S. Royal Fleetway with safety steel shield, the Edinburgh factory is -now manufacturing a new "on-and-off the road" tyre known as the U.S. Royal Super Fleetmaster.
The latest cover incorporates the fine steel tread threads of the earlier tyre that serve as a barrier in the event of a blow-out. This form of construction protects the tread against damage and at the same time dissipates heat. The Super Fleetmaster has a new three-rib tread with wide shoulder lugs. The tyre is available in the following sizes, in various ply ratings: 7.00-20, 7.50-20, 8.25-20, 9.00-20, 10.00-20 and 11.00-20.
