Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

Keywords : Leeds, Leeds City Region

I WAS INTERESTED to read that localTraffic Area Offices award Interim Licences (CM11 January) as last month I applied to one for a Restricted Licence Application.

The people at Leeds were extremely helpful and did indeed maintain that the office in Bristol was responsible for granting it. I was told the full application had been checked and they were recommending the granting of an interim as requested.

They put the subsequent delay down to Bristol, saying that they were experiencing difficulty in getting responses from the TA0s.

After several concerned telephone calls to the Leeds team, who continued to be very helpful, I decided to 'pop round the corner' to the TAO. When I finally managed to see a member of Vosa staff there I was told that this was all now handled by Leeds and that this office was in the process of being closed". Reporting this to Leeds I was told I should not have gone to the Bristol office and a licence would be forthcoming... unfortunately not that day as the "computer hasjust gone down".

The Interim finally came through in the nick of time, the following day!

I'm still none the wiser as to how the system works hut respectfully suggest that your reporter has also been misled.
