Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

"Mercedes-Benz has a good reputation mechanically so high mileage is not a deterrent"

Chris Wright

Chris Wright, managing director of independent Commercial Vehicle Auctions, conducts sales of CVs, trailers and plant equipment twice monthly at his site in Doncaster as well as organising auctions on customers' premises around the country.

"Although it Is still a very new model to come up for sale we have sold a couple of 815s recently," he says. "One was a 1999 S-reg box van with a day cab. Despite its high mileage it realised £16,100 which is still a very good price.

"We have no trouble selling the earlier 814s no matter how old they are, and if they have a sleeper cab then they still fetch silly money.

"Mercedes-Benz has a good reputation mechanically so high mileage of up to around 600,0001an or so is not a deterrent. For many operators their first experience with Mercedes is with a rental vehicle and it's often this experience that leads them to buy one later.

"They Re the solid build quality and the image that the three-pointed star portrays."
