Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

How much longer must refrigerated hauliers endure the frustration of the inappropriately named "timed delivery'?

After planning what time to start, when to make the first drop, driving hours and breaks, we are faced more times than not with hours of delays.

This can result in a lost day or return load. Multidrops accentuate the problem and there is little chance of compensation.

However, should you turn up a few minutes late, whether they are ready to load you or not, you go to the back of the queue or are told to come back the next day.

I would appreciate the position of the suppliers and the customers if the system was designed to produce an even flow of goods with

correctly managed staffing levels, ultimately giving greater efficiency and service.

If these benefits were achieved, I am sure late arriving hauliers would hold up their hands and accept the consequences.

Hopefully they will receive a little more common sense than has been experienced in the past.
