Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• An in-cab electronic tachograph called Cabfax has been developed by Birminghambased Toleman Group subsidiary Zytek Systems. The unit, which is about the size of a paperback book, is connected to the vehicle's tachograph input and fuel line to monitor fuel consumption.

Others sensors can be connected to Cabfax to check areas including load security and brake lining wear.

Up to a month's information can be held in Cabfax before it is downloaded via a connector in the cab wall. Toleman is fitting Cabfax units in its new Mk V transporters (see page 10) and plans to launch it for sale.
