Rotherhithe Tunnel : Rotherhithe Tunnel will he closed to vehicles for each of the week-ends, in February to enable the carriageway to be repaired and a' white traffic • line to be laid.

Cambridge Examination: Mr. W. Clarke, traffic officer of the T.R.T.A., is making a detailed examination of the facilities for loading and unloading in Cambridge. This follows Cambridge Council's intention to
• institute a parking meter scheme.
Interest Acquired : The Amcy Group Ltd. has acquired aninterest in Hyde Sand and Gravel Co. Ltd., which operates a .number of gravel pits and ready-mixed concrete plants in Dorset and Hampshire. Mr. R. W. Amey and Mr. F. C. West have joined the board.
Ross Service on Ml: A restaurant, grill counter and two cafeterias, all contained in a bridge spanning the motorway, are to be features of the service area development at Leicester Forest East on the Crick-Markfield section of the London-Yorkshire motorway (M1), to be carried out by Ross Group Ltd, of Grimsby. This is Ross Group's first venture into service area development, and their application has been selected by the Minister of Transport from a number of acceptable offers. They will also provide. on each side of the motorway, a transport caf6 and a petrol filling station.
