Malcolm Harrison's spring truck and plant auction takes place this weekend, and there are more than 400 trucks and trailers up for grabs.

Words: Kevin Swallow

MALCOLM HARRISON'S quarterly truck and plant auction takes place on 27 February at its Shropshire site, with more than 400 trucks and trailers available.

The spring sale includes tractor units, construction and utility vehicles, standard dry-freight trailers, as well as tipper trailers, tanker trailers and low loaders.

Among the tractors on sale are three 07-registered units; a Scania 6x4 Topline plated at 80 tonnes GVW with Opticruise; a Volvo FM 480 Euro-4 Globetrotter; and a 6x2 MAN TGA 480 with XL cab.

The total sale will exceed 800 lots.

Unlike the usual Saturday site sales for specific customers, this is a collective sale with vehicle entry from a wide range of operators. The sale starts at 10am, with the commercial vehicles scheduled to go first.

If you want to see what is on offer at the sale, you can look around the lots on Friday 26 February.

All overseas and first-time buyers not known to the auctioneer are required to stump up a £1,000 refundable deposit on registration by cash, credit or debit card.

• The address where the auction will be held is Hangar 3, Prees Storage, A49, Frees, Whitchurch, Shropshire SY13 3JX, and the telephone number is 01630 674326. •
