Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

Company: JC Payne Address: wvvw.jcpayne.com JC Payne only launched its current website in November last year, and the web design company that built it Switch has also worked with major clients such as EON, waste management company Biffa and Lloyds Pharmacy, As a result, the website is professional, looks attractive, and the navigation is clear, which should come as no surprise.

All the links you need, including one back to the homepage from elsewhere on the site, can be found in the horizontal navigation menu along the top of each page.

Product search

To view stock currently for sale, click on the Used & Unused Bodies" link in the main menu. "Unused" in this case refers to bodies that have become available as a result of a cancelled order or a revised specification.

On the stock page, all the bodies for sale are listed down the page. At the time of writing, they ranged from a 2003 26ft curtainsider to a 2009 13ft dropsider both JC Payne bodies.

There is no search function, but it is easy enough to browse.

Click on any listing to view a thumbnail photo and further details, including condition. The interface is attractive and is simple to use, but Webwatch would prefer to see more photos, larger photos, and additional information on each body. No prices are listed on the site you need to call.

From this part of the site, you will find the option to register your details and sign up for promotional and product °mails.

Another reason to register is to use the "online trade counter" that JC Payne is hoping to launch in the next few weeks. We'll bring you more on this in a future Webwatch. Click on the "Total Quality Management Systems" or "Flowline Production Techniques" links at the bottom of the page to access a sub-menu with information on JC Payne's manufacturing processes, quality standards and product range. Alternatively, select the "FleetAssist" link to find out about the company's repair and contract support service.

The final section of the site is the standard "Contact Us" page, which includes the firm's address, phone numbers and an interactive Google map to its Aldridge base.

JC Payne is active on Twitter, and you can follow its messages by visiting http://tvvitter.com/JCPTruckBodies (Don't forget to keep up with all the Commercial Motor staff, too at www.roadtransport.com/twitter Ed.)

Conclusion

This is one of the nicest-looking and easiest-to-use websites that Webwatch has yet reviewed, but it is currently a little short on information. The launch of an "online trade counter" will provide a much stronger reason to visit regularly.
