Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

IN The Institute of Road Transport Engineers is offering a .0,000 prize for the best new design of wheel fixing system in a bid to reduce the number of wheels lost from trucks.

The competition is open to any individual, group or corn. pany who can produce a design suitable for commercial vehicle axles with a load rating of between two and 14 tonnes.

It should be suitable for single or twin-wheel configura

tions, and should use existing tyre and rim sizes. Entrants can suggest any arrangement between the hub and rim.

The IRTE wants to encourage a new design which will reduce the level of maintenance necessary to keep wheels on trucks while reducing incidents of wheel loss. Any patents will remain with the designer.

Would-be entrants for the competition should first contact the IRTE on 0T/163011Th
