• Coroner Dr John Burton has called for all front seats in coaches to be fitted with safety belts secured to the vehicle body, and for better padding to be fitted in the back of coach seats to protect passengers thrown forward in a crash.
Speaking at the conclusion of this week's inquest into the M4 coach crash at Heston Services on 9 September last year, Burton ruled that all four deaths involved were accidental and that his recommendations should be forwarded to the Transport and Road Research Laboratory at Crowthorne, Berkshire.
