ETA TELLS ALL • Rules, regulations, facts and figures clutter up every aspect of the British road transport industry. To help operators through the maze, the Freight Transport Industry has produced the 1988 edition of its comprehensive yearbook. Important legislative changes during 1987 such as the new rules regarding the carriage of dangerous goods in packages, have been included in the book and there is a guide to the new drivers' record book which must be used by drivers exempt from normal EEC rules.

The yearbook — the 26th in the association's annual series — is available free to FTA members only. Extra copies can be bought at £19.50 each. For more information, contact the Freight Transport Association, Hermes Houses, St John's Road, Tunbridge Wells, Kent TN4 9UZ. Phone (0892) 26171.
