BIG CHEESE IN SWITZERLAND • The Leyland Daf 95 Series, which won a Truck of the Year Award in 1988, has won the European Cab of 1988 Award from the Swiss lorry drivers' association Les Routiers Suisses. Members of the drivers' association voted for the 95 Series cabs through their house journal, Swiss Canzion.

Drivers had to choose the truck cab which had improved working environments most successfully. Leyland Daf says low in-cab noise levels helped win the accolade and that canvassing the opinions of more than 1,700 drivers and operators during the design phase was particularly helpful in assessing their needs.
