can be felt with the clutch pedal: it should offer a slight resistance before the pedal reached the floor. Back beneath the vehicle, the clutch, which is a Lipe component, can be seen once the inspection cover has been removed.
It is adjusted so that there is about 12mm between the release bearing and the yoke. The bearing gets one shot of grease only at every service. High up on the nearside of the clutch housing is the nipple that lubricates the cross shaft, and being well out of the way, it is often overlooked.
