Since his return from the Sahara the editor has been spending a lot of time in front of the microphone. He's been interviewed on the Today programme (BBC Radio -4), Newsbreak World -News (BBC World Service) and last .Sunday with Jim Prestige on Motoring and the Motorist. On Sunday it was Britain, not Africa they discussed.
The CM man predicted heavier gross weights this year and double bottoms next year. We now await a deluge of protest letters from conservationists, the Civic Trust, environmentalists and railway enthusiasts. Come to think of it, why don't they go to the unspoiled, unpolluted, environmentally acceptable Sahara?
