If I may be allowed, I should like to make one or two comments in reply to remarks made in two letters you published, concerning my letter regarding bad-payers, earnings, etc.
Mr Cropper says that I made "a legal error," in advocating that use be made of the RHA Long Distance Rates Guide. I did nothing of the sort, but pointed out the value that could be extracted from the same. Whether some politician, sitting in his ivory tower, and knowing less about business than anyone in the country, tells us not to do certain things, is beside the point. In fact, from experience, it is far more likely to be correct to ignore such people and do exactly opposite to what they suggest.
Do these types, or those who are apparently conformists to any rubbish put out from politicians really think that much real notice is taken by those of us committed to actually doing the job in the rough and tumble prevalent today, or that we are really going to be content, for instance, in obtaining £80 for
