Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

A ROW has broken out in Caithness about the condition of buses used in the area by Highland Omnibuses.

Last week a delegation of drivers visited the Caithness Courier to complain that old buses from other Scottish Bus Group companies were being sent to end their days in Caithness.

The buses include a dozen SMT Albion Lowlanders dating from 1960.

"I travel daily in them and can vouch for their poor condition," writes a CM reader in the area.

"But what gets me is that these old wrecks get passed by the local inspectors. They'd fail down south on any one of a dozen faults."
