DAWSONGROUP has made two new appointments to take charge of its transport division's road tanker section.
Malcolm Burrell takes over the 'general management side of the tanker operation, while Colin Rust takes over as the man in charge of routeing and traffic planning.
They joined Dawsongroup from the National Freight Corporation's liquids division.
D. A. McLean, southern area manager for Pickfords Heavy Haulage, becomes sales manager of the company's UK and European operations based at the Enfield head office.
At the same time former Pickfords' northern area ma nager A. C. MacKinlay takes up the new job of special services manager concerned with overseas and offshore contracts for moving heavy loads.
Newly elected chairman of the Road Haulage Association's West Midland area is L. Bassett. Vice-chairmen are P. Blackburn and A. L Applin.
