Concession Bill Du( a unanimous vote, Coventry City LI Council 'decided ' on Tuesday to promote a Bill to legalize the existing system, of concession fares on the Corporation buses. The draft of the Bill makes provision for concessionary travel for old-age pensioners, the blind and disabled, persons travelling on the council's business, and for half-fares for schoolchildren.

The council would probably ithdraw the Bill, if Mr. Short's Bill (see page 112) were approved and legislation were introduced covering their position.

NO MODEL PENSION SCHEME YET

NO final decision on a model pension scheme suitable for adoption for hauliers was reached on Tuesday by the pension committee of the Road Haulage Association. Another meeting is to be held.

Schemes have been submitted by members of the Association and by insurance interests. Two of the schemes are particularly favoured, and the model to be recommended will incorporate the best points in both of them. Final details are being worked out.

THE report of the committee of inquiry into London Transport was published yesterday. It will be reviewed in next week's issue.
