The roomy coachbuilt body is by J. S. Kcam and Co., Ltd., of Hackney, London, E.9. On the off side, behind the driver's bucket seat, are four coachtype double seats with Dunlopillo rubber fillings covered with red leather cloth. The seats behind the driver face towards the front, hut on the near side there is a double seat facing inwards and 'behind that is the stretcher, which can be raised at One end to lift the patient into a reclining position.

The seat frames are of tubular steel bolted to the floor, and the Dunlopillo cushions are removable, enabling the interior of the ambulance to be quickly and efficiently swabbed out.

Wide Doors

Accessibility is the keynote of design and extra-wide • coach-type doors are 'fitted on both sides at the-front, with a half-sliding door at the rear. There is also ample room to move about inside the vehicle. In the centre gangway there is at least 6 ft. of headroom, and the pitch between the seats is sufficient —to allow • for patients with stiff legs to be comfortably accommodated.

A notable feature of this new ambulance is the number of windows. Apart from a large light in each half of the rear door, and those. in the two entrance doors at the front, there are three windows, each measuring approximately. 3 ft. by 18 ins. on each side. The rear window on each side is of the half-sliding type.

The by is ash-framed with M.-gauge aluminium panelling, The roof is of slatted construction, and two interior

lights and an Airvac are fitted. .
