IN connection with the Edinburgh 1 bus-stance controversy the Grassmarket Development Association has brought the claims of that thoroughfare to the notice of the town clerk. The Association offers to send a deputation to the authorities to discuss the project.

Its central situation, accommodation for starting places, and the parking facilities for duplicate buses in King's Stables Road, are points advanced in favour of the Grassmarket. It is further pointed out that no expenditure is necessary and that the rates would remain unaffected.
