Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

WORK starts next month on a new 10-span viaduct to carry the North Circular Road over the railway at Edmonton. The viaduct, which will replace the existing Angel Road bridge, is part of a larger plan to complete the duplication of carriageways on the North Circular Road in Middlesex.

When completed it will eliminate the detours which have been necessary because of the weight restriction of 30 tons on the old bridge.

The new viaduct will have two 30-ft. carriageways and two 10-ft.-wide footways, Improvement will be continued along the approaches, and a total length of 850 yards of double carriageways will be constructed.

FIRST TIME IN U.S.A.

THE first full range of light and heavy British commercial vehicles to be shown in the United States will be displayed at the British Exhibition, in New York, from June 10-26 next year.

The British motor show will be the largest single industrial display in the exhibition, and Lord Rootes, as chairman of the Dollar Exports Council, is named as a member of the executive committee which will be responsible for the planning of the exhibition.

NEW SCHRADER COMPANY

A NEW French company, to be known as Schrader-Dubied, has been formed by the A. Schrader's Son Division of ScoviI1 Manufacturing Co., U.S.A., and Edouard Dubied et Cie, S.A. Neuchatel, Switzerland. The company, in which Schrader have a controlling interest, will manufacture tyre valves and air service accessories for the European Common Market.

BEN'S BENEFIT NIGHT

THE Motor and Cycle Trades Benevolent Fund will benefit from the receipts from "Holiday on Ice 1960" at the Empire Pool, We m b le y, on February 8. it is necessary, however, that bookings should be made on a special application form obtainable from the Fund at 15 Fitzhardinge Street, London, W.1, or from the Parties Box Office, Empire Pool, Wembley.

BECAUSE of the Christmas Holiday, the next issue of The Commercial Motor will be published on Saturday, January 2, instead of Friday, January 1.

It will contain articles by leaders in their several spheres on the problems to be faced by operators in 1960.

ISLE OF MAN FOR M.P.T.A. mEXT year's conference of the Municipal Passenger Transport Association will be held in the Isle of Man. The dates have not yet been decided.
