The need for a new image has been apparent for some time, especially as few members of the Scottish public have been aware of what Scottish Bus Group is and have continued to refer to the traditional company names of Alexander and SMT.
Some of the company fleetnames have been updated recently, but the shaded gold leaf style of Western SMT has stayed without change for over 40 years.
