NEW general manager of Leyland Vehicles Ltd's Medium/ Light Vehicle Division is Frank Andrew, former Leyland Australia managing director. Before joining Leyland in 1970, Scots-born Mr Andrew worked in financial posts with Cadbury Brothers ' and Massey Ferguson. He will be based in Edinburgh and has responsibility for the Bathgate and Albion plants.
John Edmond, Alexander (Fife) general manager, becomes general manager with Scottish Omnibuses Ltd (Eastern Scottish) on September 1. He joined SOL in 1945 and was Alexander (Northern) general manager until his promotion to Fife last year. He succeeds Ian Kydd, SOL manager since 1970, who is retiring prematurely due to ill health. London-born Mr Kydd was Eastern National chief engineer from 1963.
National Welsh has appointed Brian Noton as its traffic manager with effect from September 11. He has been assistant traffic manager (West) with Crosville since 1975, and joined NBC in 1968 as a senior management trainee with Maidstone and District.
