• A new depot for commercial vehicles opened in Derby this month. T. C. Harrison Ltd, Ford main dealer in South Yorkshire, Derbyshire and Staffordshire, has transferred all its heavy truck operations from T. C. Harrison (Derby) Ltd, at Normanton Road, to a new company, T. C. Harrison (Trucks) Ltd, at Chequers Road in Derby.

Close proximity to the M1 motorway of the Chequers Road premises should prove advantageous to haulage firms outside Derbyshire for servicing and parts replacement. Over 6000 types of spares for Ford commercial vehicles, trailers, tractors and JCB equipment are held in stock.
