• A Manchester lorry driver was fined a total of £205 at Stafford following a routine check by police of his vehicle on the M6. Anthony Jeal, aged 32, of Derbyshire Road, Partington, admitted stealing an operator's licence and an excise licence identity disc and making fraudulent use of both licences.

He also admitted fraudulently using an operator's licence identity disc, having no licence disc for a goods vehicle, making a false entry in a record book, having no driving licence, no insurance, no disc licence and no hgv licence.
