By JOHN CULLEN THE FIRST of a 10-school-bus order for the London borough of Haringey was delivered this week—forerunners of replacements for certain buses ihi the borough's 200-odd transport fleet.

Eight of the new Pacerider buses will have seating accommodation for 32 school children. The others will be fitted with Ratcliffe electro-hydraulic tail-lifts to accommodate handicapped children in wheelchairs.

Seating in these welfare versions will be rearranged so that the wheelchairs can be accommodated with securing points. The buses were built by Strachans (Coachbuilders) Ltd., Humble, Hants, on Bedford VAS chassis supplied by Capitol Motor Co. Ltd., Tottenham.

Wheelbase is 13ft Sin. The Paceriders are 25ft long, 7ft 61n wide, and 9ft 6in high (unladen).
