HAULIERS in the Western Home Counties area have formed a company, Thames Valley Tippers Ltd., which will have call on more than 300 tipping vehicles, as well as platform and other types.
The secretary, Mr. A. S. Murray, told CM this week that the company plans to undertake work anywhere within a 25-mile radius of Camberley, taking in Surrey, Bucks, Berks, South Herts, Hants, North Sussex and West London.
"We will be able at 24 hours notice to place on any site within this area a large number of tipping vehicles prepared to undertake any suitable haulage work".
Founders
"The founder members of this company (directors are Mr. A. D. Genet, Mr. K. J. Batterson, Mr. P. N. Janes, Mr. A. H. Hadley and Mr. W. P. Regan) represent hauliers from the Byfleet, Chertsey, Guildford, Farnham, Slough and Reading areas".
Mr. C. Buckley has been appointed TVT manager, with an office at 135 London Road, Camberley, Surrey (Tel. Camberley 25160).
One of TVT's prime aims is to provide an adequate supply of vehicles for large contracts so that the MoT local authorities and civil engineering contractors can count on the fact that the vehicles will be properly licensed, taxed, insured and maintained.
