THIS is one of two new trailer outfits now operating for Tideswelrs of Kingsley, Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire. The company is under contract to Unigate Creameries Ltd., Trowbridge, Wiltshire, for longdistance delivery throughout the country.
The two 3211 6in semi-trailers are by Highway Trailers (Great Britain) Ltd., Southampton, Hants, and the tractive units are AEC Mandators.
Finished in red and green, the outfits have been signwritten by a member of Tideswell's own staff in gold lettering.
Established in 1924, the company has a fleet of 20 rigid vehicles—but are now changing over to articulation.
Mr. H. E. Tideswell says that the artics are the first new vehicles his father, Mr. H. Tideswell has ever bought. They were supplied by Peppers Commercial Vehicles Ltd., Stoke-on-Trent.
