• Birmingham coach operator Pattersons is moving into local bus operation. It launched two services for the West Midlands Passenger Transport Executive in March and hopes to add another this month, using two Mercedes 709Ds with Reeve Burgess bodies and a Carlyle-bodied Mercedes 811.
The company runs 30 vehicles, including hire coaches and minibuses on contract to local authorities.
