• BRS Midlands has won a £L5 million, three-year contract to supply a dedicated distribution fleet and 19 drivers to vehicle components manufacturer Automotive Products.
BRS Midlands has bought AP's fleet of seven vehicles and six trailers, and will hire them back to AP with seven new 32 tonne artics and two 16 tonne rigids. All the new vehicles are Leylands.
Maintenance will be carried out at BRS's Banbury branch, which will also handle licensing, insurance and transport administration.
The fleet, which will include seven new 12 metre tandemaxle trailers, will be liveried in AP's colours and will operate out of AP's Leamington factory, delivering parts direct to major motor manufacturers and regional distribution centres. El For several years, BRS has been providing vehicles and drivers for after-market deliveries to and from AP's regional distribution centres.
